Dr. Vivek Panchapakesan is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in facial reconstructive surgery. He is certified by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Panchapakesan began his career at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto and has been with the William Osler Health System since 2009, where he currently serves as Division Head of Plastic Surgery.

At Etobicoke General Hospital, his practice covers the full spectrum of plastic surgery with a focus on facial reconstruction for patients with cancer, trauma, and deformities.Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Panchapakesan is a dedicated humanitarian who has volunteered his surgical expertise internationally with Operation Smile Canada and PRASAD Project, transforming the lives of children with facial deformities around the world. He serves on the Board of Directors for Operation Smile Canada and as Co-Chairman and Trustee for The PRASAD Project.

Dr. Panchapakesan is active in clinical research and has given numerous presentations at national and international conferences, with multiple publications in the field of plastic surgery. He has held various leadership roles, including President of the Professional Medical Staff Association and Director on the Board of Directors for William Osler Health System (appointed 2016). In 2018, Dr. Panchapakesan was named a Toronto Urban Hero in the Health category, recognizing his outstanding contributions to healthcare and community service.
