About Dr. Tutino
Dr. Roberto Tutino is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Toronto and founding partner of The Minor Surgery Center. He attended McGill University and pursued his Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology. After two years, Dr. Tutino received early admission to McMaster Medical school with a 4.0 GPA.After receiving his medical degree in 2008, Dr. Tutino moved to Toronto to pursue his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training.
In 2013 he completed his training and became Board Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Following his training, he traveled to Melbourne, Australia, where he completed a fellowship that focused on aesthetic and non-aesthetic breast and body surgery. Dr. Tutino returned to Toronto in 2014, when he joined Trillium Health Partners. At Trillium Health Partners Dr. Tutino headed the Immediate Breast Reconstructive surgery program and was a WSIB subspecialist treating complex work related hand trauma cases. Dr. Tutino became a teaching faculty member at the University of Toronto in 2015. He was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. During this time, he taught Plastic Surgery residents and medical students.
His dedication to education was recognized with a teaching excellence award from Trillium Health Partners in 2019. In 2021 Dr Tutino cofounded The Minor Surgery Center allowing him to completely transition to an out of hospital practise. He has a subspecialty interest in Melanoma and Non Melanoma skin cancer, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Dupuytren's disease. In 2023, Dr Tutino received the Chairman’s Medal from the department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Outside of TMSC, Dr Tutino has a dedicated Gynecomastia practise which has grown to be one of North America's largest based on case volumes.
Dr Tutino is an avid dog and car enthusiast. He is a Pro/Am race car driver and currently pilots the number 260 car for JDX Motorsports in the Porsche Endurance Challenge North America Series.
