Dr. Shafarenko earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 2019, where he also completed his plastic surgery residency. He is board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.  Dr. Shafarenko has recently completed a microvascular surgery fellowship at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center, with comprehensive training in all aspects of oncologic reconstruction.
