Dr. Alana Hosein is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. She graduated from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University in 2005 and then completed General Surgery Residency, also at McMaster University. She worked as an Acute Care Surgeon in Brampton and Mississauga for 3 years before subspecializing in Breast Surgical Oncology and Melanoma at the University of Toronto. She practiced at Trillium Health Partners from 2017 to 2024 where she was the Breast Site Lead for 2 years and the Lead of Education for General Surgery for 5 years. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Hosein joined The Minor Surgery Centre in 2023 and provides surgical expertise for benign and malignant skin diseases.
