About Dr. Padeanu
Dr. Stefan Padeanu is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon completing advanced fellowship training in hand, wrist, and peripheral nerve surgery at the University of Toronto Hand Program. He completed his medical education at the University of Ottawa and his plastic surgery residency at Université de Montréal, where he was a senior resident (R5). Dr. Padeanu is currently pursuing specialized training in microsurgery, complex wrist reconstruction, and peripheral nerve surgery at Toronto Western Hospital / University Health Network.
His fellowship training provides comprehensive exposure to upper extremity conditions through an integrated teaching approach with both orthopedic and plastic surgery faculty. He is actively involved in academic leadership, serving as Resident Representative for the Canadian Society for Surgery of the Hand (CSSH-SCCM), representing Université de Montréal. Dr. Padeanu is also engaged in clinical research, with notable contributions including award-winning anatomical studies on venous valves in upper and lower extremity flaps.
Dr. Padeanu has presented his research at national and international conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics including gender equality in plastic surgery training and pediatric hand surgery.
